Force closing the wallet during encryption corrupts wallet.dat
When the encryption process is going on the wallet often stops responding.
This makes people stop the program through task manager, which then corrupts the wallet.dat...
Actions to be taken:
- Popup warning when encrypting that the wallet might stop responding and shouldn't be closed.
- Investigation into how this can be recovered
- Solution for the root cause of wallets stopping with responding
To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
